Kalianyar Residents Enthusiastically Register in Row Village Program

Jakarta Provincial Government’s plan to build 200 houses of row village in Kalianyar Urban Village, Tambora Sub-District, West Jakarta, is responded enthusiastically by the locals. Until now, 90 people have signed up in the program.

Chief of RW 05 Kalianyar, Jayata, said those 90 people are residents living in three RWs, namely RW 05 that consists of four RTs, RW 02 that consists of two RTs, and RW 09 that consists of several RTs.
“Based on the data, there are 90 proposals from three RWs that want to join in the program. We are targeting 200 houses to be signed up this year, based on Governor’s request,” he uttered, Friday (4/18).
Row Village Recipients Asked to Be AwareAccording to Jayata, last year the residents were still not sure to join in row village program because there was issue of residents’ lands eviction. But, the truth was the residents were only asked to step back houses for a meter for road widening project. Because of that issue, from 100 houses targeted, only 35 houses realized into row village. But now, until this month, there are already 90 proposals coming and likely increase.
“Now, the residents are very enthusiastic to see the result, different than last year,” he expressed.
